Until about 3 years I lived in Birstall, Leicester, UK, for virtually my whole life and originally worked in engineering. Myself and my sisters were fortunate that our parents realised the advantage of being able to play a musical instrument, consequently all 3 of us had piano lessons. I started playing the piano aged 10 and completed my examinations when I was 21. I've been teaching successfully for nearly 35 years to date from home and within schools, inc working as a Yamaha Music School teacher. 

I also play the saxophone and play in The Leicester Big Band. 

I have been married for over 42 years and we have 4 children, one of whom is special needs and who we adopted from the Philippines back in 2005 when he was 8. We now also have 8 grandchildren.
